The New York Times article "High Cost of Driving Ignites Online Classes Boom" reports that there is a surge in on-line enrollments due to the high gasoline prices. While that may be true, many other factors have also changed in the past year (e.g. economy, in general, is doing worse, tuition has risen etc.). The question then is whether high gasoline prices remains the main factor, once all the other changes have been properly accounted for.
